IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR GUESTS

FRONT DOOR ENTRY AND SECURITY

Entrance to the condo will not require a key, although, in case of any issues with the electronic system, a physical key is available in a realtor’s lock on the door. We will give you a current six-digit code six to arm and disarm the lock, and it will remain the same for the duration of your stay.

WASHER AND DRYER

Just inside the entry door in the laundry room, you will find a washer and dryer, as well as a selection of cleaning items and tools/hardware if needed. Please remember to check the dryer lint filter, and leave the lid open on the washer when not in use. A shoe rack is located just inside the laundry room door. Also included in this storage area are some useful items which can be used at the beach, and umbrellas in case of rain.

KITCHEN

All appliances are in good working order. Please empty the dishwasher before checking out, and unplug the coffee maker when not in use. There are small, under-the-cabinet lights for your enjoyment with an on/off switch under the cabinet next to the refrigerator. Please check to be sure they are off when you leave. As in all rooms throughout the condo, there are night lights located in the electrical receptacles so moving about in the middle of the night will not require turning on lights (for those of you who have late-night cravings !) Any food in the pantry, refrigerator, and freezer is available for you to use. If you choose to leave food for the next guests as well, just be sure nothing left will spoil. Items such as paper plates and plastic cups are in the pantry.

BATHROOMS

Both the master bath and second bathrooms have a variety of items that can be used as needed. There are hair-collecting “mushrooms” in the tubs which should be removed and cleaned following a shower. You will find paper towels in the laundry room, and extra soap and toilet paper are also in both bathrooms.

GARBAGE

Waste disposal units are located in most rooms and need to be emptied before you leave. The kitchen pantry has extra bags on the shelf for your use. All garbage and trash must be deposited In the large containers located near the back entrance gate to the complex. You can make a short walk to it by turning left out our door, then go left on the sidewalk. It is just behind the building on your right.

BED LINENS

Your beds should all have fresh linens on them, ready for use. Before leaving, all sheets, pillowcases, towels, and washcloths can be laundered for the next guests. You may choose to replace them where they were used, or with another appropriately sized fresh set that can be found in the adjoining closet to each bedroom.

CEILING FANS / TEMPERATURE CONTROL

Ceiling fans are very effective in this condo unit all year round. We have found that very little heat or A/C is required in addition to the fans due to superior insulation and the surrounding forested community setting. Feel free to leave the temperature control in a comfortable position while you are here, but we would appreciate you leaving it set to 78 degrees (A/C) or 60 degrees (heat), depending on the season, when you leave.

TELEVISIONS / INTERNET

We do not subscribe to a cable or satellite service, but all televisions are smart and you may cast from your devices or sign in with your home service provider. Of course, several options are already built into the units. Internet is provided, and the sign-in for our location is:

WiFi: TMOBILE-Vanderpoel

Password: Jaxgetaway2@24

PARKING

All numbered spaces are assigned to units. Our unit (#803) has an assigned space in front of our building, #159. In addition, all spaces without a number stenciled on the space are open and can be used by anyone, first come-first served. This also applies to all spaces reserved for handicapped drivers. Of course, you must have the right to use those as well. A visitor’s pass is required to be displayed on the driver’s side dashboard during the time of your stay. You will find them on the entry table near the front door.

OUTDOOR GRILLS / GAZEBOS

Since no indoor or outdoor grilling is allowed at the buildings, the condo association provides some very nice gazebos with seating and are equipped with LP gas grills. The gas containers are furnished by the association and are first come-first served for residents. Reservations are not required for the use of the gazebos. Please remember to shut off the gas valve when you are through using them.

A FEW EXTRAS

In the third bedroom/office underneath the daybed, you will find a full-size Pack-N-Play for use with infants or toddlers. Also, there is a queen-sized inflatable bed that can be used if additional bedding is needed. There is an air inflator with that inflatable bed. Linens for this extra option can be found in the second-bedroom closet at the rear of the condo.

COMMUNITY CENTER / POOL

Near the front entrance of the complex, you will find the clubhouse and swimming pool. Hours of use are posted there, and there is no lifeguard on duty. Pool use generally is from April through November. You will need the white plastic security card to activate the in/out access for all doors. We keep this card in a tray near the front door of the condo. It also can be used to activate the security gate to enter the complex. Without that card, you can open the entry gate by entering this code in the keypad: #1707 Use of the meeting rooms does not require a reservation unless you have a group meeting.

EMERGENCY CONTACTS

For all basic questions, feel free to first contact Ken at 678-640-7956, or Linda at 770-283-9851. The condo office (regular weekday business hours) is 904-998-9624. Of course, for serious emergencies, always call 911.

BEFORE YOU LEAVE AT THE END OF YOUR STAY

1. Please check thoroughly to be sure you have not left anything you did not intend to. Personal items might be difficult to get returned since we will not likely be the next ones using this condo. Wall chargers for cell phones and laptops are often forgotten.

2. Please be sure small appliances are not left plugged in and that all lights are turned off.

3. Please be sure that the visitor’s pass and the plastic security card are replaced on the entry table for the next guests.

4. Please be sure the entry door is locked securely.

5. Check the washer and dryer to be sure no clothes or linens have been overlooked.

6. Please leave all blinds and window coverings closed.

7. Is any food left in the refrigerator perishable? Frozen food is fine, as are most condiments in the door.

8. The last run to the garbage container can be managed on your way out.
